FOB organizes special outreach programme on Swachhta at Pattan Srinagar, January 31, 2019 A special outreach programme on Swachh Bharat was organised by Field Outreach Bureau (FOB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Block Development Office, Pattan, Baramulla. Block Development Officer, Pattan, Dr. Sheeba Anayat was the chief guest on the occasion. She highlighted the objectives of the nationwide cleanliness mission and explained the targets of the entire campaign. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sheeba stressed upon the audience to shoulder the responsibility and be an ambassador to further communicate the message of cleanliness among the masses. Lauding the efforts of Field Outreach Bureau in organising the event, she ensured full support of Block Administration for initiatives related to cleanliness in the area. Programme officer MGNREGA, Department of Rural Development, Shri Gazi Mushtaq highlighted the need of behavioural changes in order to ensure the proper implementation of the initiative. Two days awareness camp concludes at Kupwara KUPWARA, JANUARY 31: With an aim to educate common masses about various welfare measures in socio economic perspective and to disseminate awareness about various citizen centric legislations, two days awareness camp today concluded here at Town Hall with an overwhelming participation of different stakeholders. The camp was organised by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kupwara in collaboration with Social Welfare and Labour Departments during which an array of events with the sole purpose to generate awareness, were held. The programme was chaired by the Sub Judge Kupwara who is also the Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Noor Mohammad Mir. Assistant Labour Commissioner Arshid Qadri, Munsiff Kralpora Ishtiyaq Alam, Members from Juvenile Justice Board, Child Welfare Committee, lawyers of BAR Association, Social Activists and large number of school children attended the programme. Various speakers made valuable suggestions about the children’s rights and the ways to protect children. They highlighted various welfare measures and schemes regarding the rehabilitation of violence victims and other backward class of the society. Sub Judge, who was the chief guest on the occasion threw light on the subject and elaborated various aspects of Child Rights and Protection. He also emphasised over the parents and teachers to teach moral ethics to the children and prepare them to face the different colours of life. The Judge also spoke about the ways and tactics of criminals involved in human trafficking, drugs transportation etc using the medium of innocent children and advised the audience to avoid indulging in such criminal activities. He also extended full support to create mass awareness about Children’s legal rights and safety measures. Representatives of various departments highlighted different schemes sponsored by them and presented a detailed account of performance cum achievements with regard to socio economic development.
