*UK, Germany governments issue advisory against traveling Kashmir**Omar terms the developments ‘major setback’ to Tourism Industry*Srinagar: As the various departments in the Kashmir valley continue to issue orders and directions to their staff adding to the chaos and confusion, the British government has issued a travel advisory to all its nationals against visiting Kashmir. In its advisory, the UK and Germany governments have asked itheir citizens who are in Jammu and Kashmir to remain vigilant and follow the advice of the local authorities and keep up to date with developments .It said the UK High commission in New Delhi was constantly monitoring the situation.“The FCO advise against all travel to Jammu and Kashmir with the exception of travel within the city of Jammu, travel by air to the city of Jammu, travel within the region of Ladakh. The FCO advises against all but essential travel to the city of Srinagar, and travel between the cities of Jammu and Srinagar on the Jammu- Srinagar National Highway. The tourist destinations of Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg fall within the areas to which the FCO advise against all travel.” reads the travel advisory of the UK government . It further reads,“On 2 August, Indian media reported that the Government of Jammu and Kashmir had advised tourists and Amarnath Yatra pilgrims to curtail their stay in the Kashmir Valley immediately and take necessary measures to return home as soon as possible because of security threats. The British High Commission in New Delhi is monitoring the situation. If you’re in Jammu and Kashmir, you should remain vigilant, follow the advice of local authorities and keep up to date with developments, including via this travel advice.”Meanwhile after UK, Germany has also advised its national to stay away from the Kashmir valley.
