TRAINING PROGRAMME ON PRESERVATION AND PROCESSING OF JAMS AND PICKLES 13 OCT 21

In continuation with its efforts to promote local Self Help Groups of Women and to empower them to become financially independent, as well as to provide them the initial guidance to kick start the Self Help Group, Wussan Battalion, organised, Day One training session of the two day training programme on preservation and processing of Jam and Pickles.The day one training session of the two day training programme was conducted in collaboration with Agriculture University, Srinagar. A total of 20 female members of the Self help Group attended in the training session.The programme focussed on preservation and processing of Jam and Pickles. Official representatives from Agriculture University imparted training to the members of the Self Help Group regarding making of apple jam and pickles from seasonal fruits and vegetables and its preservation techniques.All female members of the self help group took keen interest in the session and praised the initiative undertaken by the Army and stated that this training would help them in making jams and pickles from seasonal fruits and vegetables.
