16 persons of three families in Kreeri area sent to quarantine for visiting Covid victim’s Gund Jehangir family

Nine sent to GMC, seven in Home Quarantine as authorities seal three residential houses 

Atleast sixteen people from three families in Authora area of Kreeri have been quarantine for visiting the house of Gund Jehangir man who died of COVID infection a few days back.Tehsildar Kreeri Syed Shabr told RNA that nine supects who had visited Gund Jehangir have been sent to GMC Baramulla for quarantine whereas the remaining seven family members including four children have been advised home quarantine and their homes have been sealed off.He said they will be under close monitoring and the neighbours and others have also been advised to avoid contact with these three families. According to Tehsildar , though none of the family members had any symptoms yet sending them to quarantine was necessiated due to their visit to the family where 11 more came positive on Thursday. Meanwhile the authorties have carried out a massive disinfection drive in Kreeri town today.
