RAJOURI, MAY 05: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting to review the progress made under different Rural Development schemes being implemented in the district here at a meeting of the Department. DC Reasi orders close monitoring of Brick Kilns

REASI, MAY 05: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal today asked enforcement departments to closely monitor the operations of Brick Kilns in the district. Chairing a meeting of the concerned departments, the DC asked to ensure that no brick kiln be allowed to continue operations without completing all requisite   norms according to the Jammu and Kashmir Brick Kilns (Regulation) Act, 2010. She instructed all the concerned departments, particularly Geology and Mining, Pollution control Board, Revenue and Agriculture to minutely re-verify the authentication of documents/licenses as well as the feasibility of the kilns. During the meeting, discussion was held on progress achieved, matters pertaining to inter departmental coordination and proposal for setting up of 3 new blocks for promotion of new FPOs.
