06 May 2022, Kupwara: Last year Indian Army had collaborated with Gauri Kaul foundation and Indian Oil Corporation(IOC) Ltd to provide an ICU ambulance for the Machhal bowl. In the entire winter season of 2021- 22, the ICU ambulance had saved many lives of the locals including pregnant women and children by timely evacuation of the patients to the nearest district hospital.   On 6th May 22, an emergency evacuation was carried out by the ICU ambulance to save life of a 35 year old pregnant lady from Machal village. SRINAGAR, MAY 08: The Department of Wildlife Protection J&K Government, Wetlands Division Kashmir in joint collaboration with stake holding departments, civil society groups, N.G.O’s, Educational  institutions  today conducted cleanliness drive of Hokersar while observing “Save Hokersar-Save Srinagar” campaign under the banner “TAWAZUN”  which commenced on May 07 and will  continue till May 21. 40 Trucks flagged-off to facilitate migratory tribal population

JAMMU, MAY 8: In a significant development the Tribal Affairs Department today flagged off a fleet of 40 trucks for transportation livestock and families of migratory tribal population from various districts to the highland pastures. In line with the announcement made by the Lieutenant Governor, Sh Manoj Sinha for various tribal welfare measures the department initiated a special project for transhumant support system including transit accommodations and transport facilities for migratory population. These trucks have been procured by the Tribal Affairs Department through J&K Road Transport Corporation.
