IAF MTB CYCLING EXPEDITION FROM KHARDUNG LA TO NEW DELHI TO COMMEMORATE 75 YEARS OF INDIA’S INDEPENDENCE  

Srinagar, 31 Jul 22.   Commemorating India’s 75 years of Independence, Indian Air Force is conducting a cycling expedition from Khardung La to National War Memorial, New Delhi. The expedition was flagged off on 31 Jul 2022 by Air Cmde PK Srivastava, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Leh. The team comprises 20 air warriors from various IAF formations and is led by Gp Capt AP Menezes.   The cyclists will pedal a distance of 1100 kms in 15 days, culminating their journey at the National War Memorial on 15 Aug 22. Upon reaching the Memorial, the air warriors will pay tributes to the brave soldiers who have made the supreme sacrifice for the country. The expedition will also bolster the sense of patriotism amongst school children with whom they will interact along the way....

J&KPSC successfully conducts prelims of J&KCCE, 2022

69.75% Candidates appear in examination SRINAGAR, JULY 31: A total of 23807 candidates out of 34131 appeared today in J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination (J&KCCE), 2022 conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (J&KPSC) both in Jammu and Srinagar and four districts of Doda, Rajouri, Anantnag and Baramulla. Held in two sessions, the total percentage of attendance in the preliminary examination stood at 69.75 percent in all the 85 Centres in both the Divisions. In this connection, the J&KPSC had made elaborate four tier arrangements for security/ frisking to ensure smooth and orderly conduct of the examinations with strict observance of Covid-19 protocols.
