Man killed, another critical in Srinagar road accident

  Srinagar, Aug 02: A man was killed while another one was injured in a road accident that took place on Jehangir Chowk-Rambagh flyover in Srinagar district on Tuesday evening, officials said here. An official told the news agency that Jehangir Ahmad Ganie and Mudasir Ahmad Ganie both residents of Parniwa Budgam were critically injured in a road accident on Jehangir Chowk-Rambagh flyover this evening. He said that both the injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, however, Jehangir Ahmad Ganie succumbed to his injuries at Bone and Joint Hospital Barzulla. He added that Mudasir was being treated at SMHS Hospital, where his condition is said to be critical. Meanwhile, Police have taken cognizance of the incident.

Public Private Partnership cell to be established in Planning Department: CS

JAMMU, AUGUST 02: The Chief Secretary, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta today approved the establishment of a Public Private Partnership-cum-Project Appraisal (PPCPA) cell within the Planning, Monitoring and Development Department in Jammu and Kashmir. Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Administrative Secretary, Planning, Monitoring and Development Department, and Administrative Secretary, Law Department participated in the meeting. The Chief Secretary also approved the engagement of consultants and domain experts, besides approving the financial grant of Rs. 90 lakhs for the functioning of the new PPCPA cell. 14 days Surveillance campaign on Adulteration of Edible Oils by food safety department in full swing

  Srinagar, Aug 02: The Food Safety Wing of Drugs & Food Control Organization, Kashmir has commenced its 14 day Survelliance Drive w.e.f 01 August to 14 August 2022 to check the adulteration in Edible Vegetable Oil, Multisource Edible Oil and Vanaspati. The drive is being undertaken on the directions of Commissioner, Food & Drugs Administration, J&K(UT). The drive which was set in motion yesterday, has resulted in collection of 06 samples of Mustard Oil, 03 Samples of Vanaspati, 03 Samples of Multisource Edible Oil and 12 samples of Refined Soyabean Oil from two districts viz Anantanag & Bandipora.
