The meeting was attended by Director SDD, J&K, Chief Engineer, R&B, Kashmir, Special Secretary SDD, representatives from JKPCC besides other concerned officials both in person and through video conferencing. ARMY CONDUCTS CYCLING EXPEDITION IN HIGH ALTITUDE

Srinagar, 21 Sep 2022. On the occasion of 196th Gunners’ Day and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, a high altitude cycling expedition was undertaken by troops of Strategic Strikers Division on behalf of the Regiment of Artillery. A team of one officer and seven other ranks led by Colonel Sripada Sriram, commenced the expedition from Rezang La War Memorial on 15 September 2022 and completed successfully in Dras war memorial on 21 September 2022. The expedition covered a total distance of approximately 538 kilometers in seven days over the rough & challenging terrain of Eastern Ladakh. The JAK LI Regimental Centre organised its 25th Battalion Commanders' Biennial Conference and 7th Reunion at Srinagar from 19-21 Sep 2022.        Chaired by Lt Gen MK Das, GOC MB Area and Col of the JAK LI Regiment, the regimental event was attended by a number of serving and veteran officers, JCOs and Other Rank.   The Reunion commenced with a solemn wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial in recognition of the supreme sacrifices by the fallen heroes of the Regiment. IMD issues heavy rainfall alert in various states, list released

IMD announced that heavy rainfall is likely to occur over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and East Rajasthan during next 2-3 days. Light to moderate rain may occur in parts of Delhi on Thursday, the IMD said. Meanwhile, heavy rainfall is also expected in Arunachal Pradesh during September 22-24, Assam and Meghalaya during September 21-23.
