2 teachers suspended in Kupwara over alleged corporal punishment to students

    The district administration Kupwara has suspended two teachers for allegedly giving corporal punishment to students in a government school in Kralpora zone of the district.         According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency, a complaint was filed against two teachers namely Shaukat Ahmad Lone and Naseer Ahmad Lone posted at UPS Gampora Budanamal Zone Kralpora in Kupwara district.         The order reads that one Ghulam Mohammad Lone son of Abdul Khaliq of Bundnamal along with his wife and three school going children approached the office of deputy commissioner with a written complaint regarding corporal punishment by two teachers.         "The...

*GSPFP Aims To Empower Women For A Progressive Society*

  Global Strategic Policy Foundation Pune (GSPFP) organised a seminar on “Women Empowerment In My Naya Kashmir” in Town Hall Kupwara, where more than 500 women participated. Dr Anant Bhagwat was the chief guest at the seminar. In his address, Dr Bhagwat said that for a progressive society, it is important to empower women. But unfortunately, this has not been done to the extent that was required. Dr Bhagwat highlighted that Kupwara is a border district, which has faced major damage in the past 30 years of disturbance. Crime Branch Srinagar chargesheets 3 accused involved in providing fake jobs orders

 The Economic Offence Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has produced Challan against three accused persons involved in providing fake appointment orders against monetary benefits. In a statement, issued to the news agency, a spokesperson said that challan was produced in case FIR No. 08/2015 U/S 420,468,471,120-B RPC of Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir before court of City Magistrate Srinagar.
