Camaraderie among children reminder of humanity surviving: Rana
DANSAL NAGROTA DECEMBER 22- National Conference Provincial President Mr Devender Singh Rana on Saturday lauded the camaraderie among young school-goers in celebrating religious festivals of each other in a unique spirit of inclusiveness.
“Today’s Christmas Day festivity here is a reminder of the humanity surviving in young hearts, who are celebrating the occasion with immense degree of fanfare, irrespective of religious affiliations”, Mr Rana said at the close of a scintillating function Holy Trinity Convent High School, Dansal, marking the beginning of Christmas festivities.
He said he was overwhelmed to see the students of various religions celebrating the day as their own festival, adding “This is indeed a silver linning in the otherwise choked atmosphere of mistrust and hate”, he maintained and greeted the young students for making the Christmas celebrations very special and undoubtedly fulfilled one. He said unity in diversity is real strength of this nation and the state, which has been depicted in immense measure by the students.
Mr Rana said the occasions like Christmas is most truly festival when celebrated by giving the light of love to people around, irrespective of cast, creed or colour. He said the schools are the best platforms for children to get to know about the ethos and uniqueness of every religion. “Knowing about other religions make them to respect other religions as well when they grow”, he said, adding that this assumes larger significance for harmonious growth of the society.
The Provincial President appreciated the performance of young students and had praise for all those who sang carols.
“May this Christmas make us happy and herald bounty of peace across the nation and in the state”, Mr Rana prayed and wished the students, faculty, management and the parents a happy Christmas.
The highlight of the Christmas celebrations was a Christmas tree, decorated by the students in their traditional attire. For this the children were divided in groups to complete the decorations of trees. The colourful bells, stars and buntings adorned the stage. The children especially the tiny tots were wearing attractive customary and traditional dresses. They performed a beautiful dance and sang x-mas song. The Santa Clause was seen giving away toffees to the children.
Principal of Holy Trinity Convent High School Fr Amala Singh and Vice Principal Sr Divya greeted the guests, the students and the staff on the Christmas. The faculty, Sandhya Sharma, Shilpa Sharma, Sohan Lal, Monish Mangotra, Sheetal Sharma and Neha Baloria also greeted the guests on the Christmas.
