  A specialized training program of Police personnel of Jammu Zone on collection of various kinds of evidence/exhibits from the scene of crime has been started by the Forensic Science Laboratory at Jammu. The basic purpose of the training course is to utilize the service of these Police Personnel to collect the exhibits from various crime scenes in their respective Districts. In the first instance, 04 Police Personnel each from Udhampur, Samba & Kuthua  were  put on 10 days comprehensive training at FSL, Jammu w.e.f. 19.12.2018. The partiipants were given intensive training for collection of evidence from scene of crime. Forensic kits were also allotted to the trainees.


           On the closing ceremony of first batch on 31.12.2018, Shri  Anand Jain, IPS, Director FSL, J&K, briefed trainees about utilizing their expertise for collection of evidence from the spot of crime. Among others, Shri Aga Aijaz Hussain, Joint Director FSL, Shri Masood Sadiq, I/C FSL, Jammu, Shri Nazir Ahmad, Adm. Officer, FSL, Shri Gowher Yaseen Qadri, I/C Cyber Forensic Division, Shri Narinder Kumar Sharma, Assistant Scientific Officer (P) and other senior members of FSL were present on the occasion.
